Sweet & Sassy: Vintage Custom Tee
You never know what’s around the corner in life. Like when you’re sitting at Happy Hour at your hotel in Atlanta dressed for your sister’s 90’s themed prom birthday party, and a woman sitting next to you HAS to ask why you’re wearing a tiara. I did look pretty ridiculous. Blue eye shadow, tightly hair sprayed up-do and a blinged-out tiara, in the hotel lobby. Turns out this beautiful and heavily southern accented woman owns a boutique in Kentucky. We shared Facebook likes and a couple days later, she custom made me this (above) incredible vintage t-shirt, “BOY MOM. RUNNING ON COFFEE AND CHAOS.” Pretty accurate.
The Boutique is Sweet and Sassy. They are based in Mayfield, Kentucky and specialize in a variety of personalized items such as shirts, hoodies, bags and decals all handcrafted. My new t-shirt is the softest material I’ve ever felt. A lot of times, once you print on such a beautifully soft material, there’s a tacky-stiffness to it, but the printing technique that Sweet and Sassy uses, produces an image that is just as soft as the shirt itself. Well done.
Sweet and Sassy doesn’t just print tees, they also do embroidery. I’m loving this leather clutch with initials embroidered. It gives the bag a personalized and unique touch that will make all your friends want one. They can also embroider boots, hats, vests, you name it! I love the idea of personalizing gifts for my friends and family for special holidays, events or just because.
I won’t lie. I’ve been thinking about all the fun slogans I could come up with to have made up. One of my favorites, “Men, Coffee and Chocolate… The Richer, the better.” Or how about, “Wine a bit. You’ll feel better.” And the famous, “Keep Calm and Unicorn on.” Possibilities are endless.
