Fall Trend: Natural Neutrals

IMG_6495.JPG

It’s kind of a mouthful. Natural neutral. Phew. Say that three times fast. Natural neutral, natural neutral, natural neutral. A natural neutral refers to color. Natural colors are just that. Colors found in nature. Tans, grays, off white, forest green, ocean blue, etc. A neutral color is something that will work with almost any other color in the rainbow.

Black and white used to be the go-to when it came to neutrals. If you had a camisole in each of those colors, you could match anything. This fall, tan is the new black. Off-white or cream is the new white. And it’s all about building a wardrobe capsule that works with that pallet.

I’m crushing on the capsule above. Lots of natural neutrals, lots of layering pieces, lots of intermixing colors and textures. I’m not saying, if you buy all these pieces, you’ve completed your wardrobe. It’s definitely lacking some blouses, basic tees, trousers and leggings, but it’s a start.

You’re probably wondering, where do I buy natural neutrals? Really, anywhere you like to shop. Natural neutrals are trending universally, so if you like to shop at H&M, you’ll notice most of the selection of colors work around tan. If you’re a Target girl, same. Like TJ Maxx? Yup, fully stocked in natural neutrals.
