We used to travel, A LOT. Back when our youngest was little enough to miss a week of school here and there without consequence. Back when a global pandemic wasn’t ravaging the world. Back when you could book a flight and a hotel last second and hop on a plane and be on the beach within hours. God, do I miss those days. Like, desperately.

Now, we still travel. A lot less and for short durations. Travel has gotten complicated and challenging. Prices on flights and hotels are sky high, my youngest can no longer miss school without consequences and planning ahead is completely required. In a couple weeks, we are flying to Miami for four short nights and five short days and of course two of those days are for travel, so let’s really say, we’re flying to Miami for three days and four nights.
