The Perfect Summer Dress by VICI

Being an apple shape, I tend to avoid fit and flare style dresses. My waist is thick, so a garment that accentuates it, is usually a no. Sometimes the risk is worth the reward. I know what you’re saying to yourself, “But Chelsea, you’re tall, it won’t fit me like that”. This dress is made for everyone. There’s plenty of room in the bust and shoulders. The belt is unattached, so you can leave it off, for more room in the waist, or tie it extra tight to accentuate it. The flowy, not sheer skirt, is full and swooshy and if you’re under 5’4” you MAY need to hem the bottom just a little, but at VICI’S price, it’s still worth it.

I kept this look super simple with some gold and silver jewelry and clear block heel sandals, but you could totally pump up the look with some black stilettos and a fierce clutch. Or tone the look down for a casually breezy vibe by pairing flat sandals and a straw bag. I’m definitely packing this dress on my trip to Newport next month. It can go from the beach, to a tour of the mansions to a sophisticated dinner on the ocean.
