Boho Vibes

I went to a huge University (University of South Carolina), and my class sizes reflected that. Usually, you showed up to a massive auditorium, took notes and never got any sort of interaction with the Professor. I remember in one of my biggest Fashion classes, the Professor called on me. I was not only surprised that he called on me, but that he knew my name. There must have been a hundred students in that class. He was lecturing about how trends directly affect retail sales. I was only half paying attention, so thank god I was well versed in current fashion trends. His question, “Chelsea. What’s the most popular fashion trend right now?” made me realize why he specifically asked me… because I was wearing it. Boho.

That was 2003, which pains me to write in black in white. I’m getting old. What it also means is that fashion trends that I once wore years ago, are coming back. Like when I’d walk out of my bedroom and my mom would say, “I used to have one exactly like that”! When I was a kid, I was like, yeah right, Mom. Well, again, Mom was right. Trends come and go, and then come back and go. One trends that sort of always stuck around since 2003, was boho. With natural colors and fabrics, boho gives a hippie, festival vibe that is fun and carefree. Like my beaded hoop earrings from LUKE FASHION.

To pull off boho vibes, start with accessories. Like these beaded hoop earrings from LUKE FASHION. They make a statement without being too fancy. They’re perfect for daytime with a printed dress, faux fur vest and knee-high slouch boots. Or turn heads in a night time look, pairing these earrings with denim and a shag coat. Boho may have it’s moments on the runway, but it will always have a place in my heart.
