It's Holiday Party Season!

Ohmigoodness… I’m so excited! It’s Holiday Party Season and I’m here for all of it. The glitz, the glam, the schmoozing, the eating, the drinking… I’m so ready. The past couple years, I noticed a definite decline in Holiday Party invites. Not because I’ve been a naughty girl, just that COVID had us all a little unsure. But now, the masks are off and my Holiday Party outfit bin is officially out.

You may be asking, what is a “Holiday Party outfit bin”? That’s my clear plastic storage bin that I keep in my crawl space that holds all my white fur, red satin, green sparkle things. And she’s officially out and ready to party. If you haven’t read my posts about closet organization, I highly recommend it HERE. One of the big takeaways is that you should always store your pieces that are “unseasonable”. Clothes and accessories that are specifically designated for the Holidays have no room in your closet during any other seasons. Having all those pieces in your closet as current options will only confuse and overwhelm you. Tuck them away and bring them out when the time is right.

Not totally digging my green studded cocktail dress? Which, by the way, sorry I have no idea what the brand is or what the store is called that I got it from. I was in the Bayside area in Miami and got it at a random boutique. Let’s call it, one of a kind! Anyway, if you’re not feeling such a bodycon style dress for a Holiday Party, may I recommend a pink satin suit? This one from H&M is the perfect combination of sexy, stylish and conservative enough for any body type.

Or how about making a Holiday Party statement with some silver sparkly platform shoes? You may be thinking, “these shoes are way too high for me”. Well, believe it or not, platform shoes are suprisingly easy to walk, dance, even drive in. Although the heel looks insanely high, the ball of your foot is also elevated, making the thick, block heels much more manageable. These heels are a perfect way to add a little Holiday cheer to any outfit.

Whatever you feel fabulous in this Holiday Season, be sure to say YES to all the Holiday invites this year. You have two years to make up for. Stay safe and if you still don’t know what to wear, call me. That’s what I do.
