Guest Post Featuring Hunter Maxham
Back in September, I received an e-mail from a Pathway Coordinator at a local high school, asking if I’d be available to take on an Intern. He described this high school Senior as highly motivated and said she’s interested in learning more about what I do as a Wardrobe Consultant and Blogger.
Initially I thought, I don’t really know how I’m going to do this, but then I thought about when I was in high school. If someone had given me the opportunity to see that dreams CAN come true, it may have changed the whole trajectory of my life. So, after a quick meet and greet at one of the fanciest high schools I’ve ever seen, we made a plan to do hands-on training in Personal Shopping, Wardrobe Organization and even Fashion Blogging.
I’d like to introduce you to Hunter Maxham. An incredibly intelligent, talented and stunningly beautiful young lady that I’ve had the pleasure of mentoring this Fall. The sky is the limit for Hunter and I have confidence she’s going to do amazing things with her life. Take a moment to read Hunter’s first Guest Blog Post.
The look I’m wearing in these pictures includes some of my favorite pieces in my closet. My white denim jacket is from Bobbles and Lace, a cute boutique in Portland. Until I set foot in there, I never saw myself investing in a denim jacket of any sort. However, it is now one of my go-to layering pieces! The corset top underneath is from Pretty Little Thing, an online brand, and this is the only piece I’ve purchased from them. The jeans, from Levi’s, are definitely in my top three favorite jeans I own. The cropped length and overall quality have me wearing them at least once a week. I paired my new black madden girl boots with a black belt from Garage. To finish off the look, I wore my Prada bag that was gifted to me by my Nona!
The thing I like most about this look is how put together it makes me feel. I believe any outfit that makes you confident, is fashion. Fashion is about expressing yourself, breaking boundaries, and making yourself feel good. I’ve been into fashion since I was around five, and I’m so glad I’ve gotten to experiment with my style throughout the years! Chelsea has had a huge impact on me in the past couple months, encouraging me to break the boundaries of what I am comfortable with and teaching me so much about the industry! I’ve gotten to explore what it’s like to style different clients, organize a closet professionally, and there’s so much more to come.
