H&M: Get Your Sparkle On

Oh my gosh, have you walked into H&M lately? They’ve completely bypassed Fall and gone straight for Christmas & New Years. Which means sparkles galore! Eeeeeeeee… I LOVE sparkles. Unlike most people, I don’t believe that sparkles are designated for just the Holidays. Sparkles can be worn year round and always creates a pop of excitement in your look. There really aren’t specific rules when it comes to sparkles, but I will give you some guidelines that will help you rock your glitter, tastefully.

I highly recommend keeping sparkles contained to one piece. For example, the model above has perfectly balanced her silver sparkle flare pants with a sleek white top, letting the pants do the talking. Complete this look with white or black open toe heels and a simple leather bag.

Talk about sparkle! This red midi dress is perfection for any cocktail occasion. It’s an unexpected mix of color and texture and will turn heads all night. Just like the silver pants, I highly recommend keeping your accessories simple. Let the dress do the talking. Black heels, a baby clutch and simple silver earrings complete the look. No need for a necklace… the dress is plenty. One thing I will say, this dress is reserved for evenings.

Who doesn’t love a romper? A lot of people, actually. If you have a long torso or are apple shaped, rompers can be tough. But, if you are a romper girl, this one is it. I love how the model paired this sparkle romper with open toed nude heels. They really let you be the star in the romper. A great thing about a romper… dancing, sitting, cartwheels, are all romper approved activities.

The absolute most versatile way to wear sparkle is a sequin tee. It’s not specific to cocktail, evening, holiday. It’s specific to fabulous and by far the most wearable way to rock the sparkle look. I love how the model kept the look monochromatic, pairing the sparkly top with faux leather pants in the same color. This is actually one of those times where a pop of color in your accessories, like a pair of silver heels would work perfectly.

Speaking of accessories, sparkly accessories are acceptable anytime. Jewelry, shoes, bags, hair, always adds an element of fun and festivity. One of my favorite pairs of heels are a pair of gold sparkly pointed toe pumps. I pair them with bold gold jewelry and they dress up any simple look.
