Must-Have Shoes for Fall

I’m not here to break the bank, okay? I’m here to help you SAVE money. With that said, there ARE two must-have pairs of shoes that you need going into Fall. The first are a pair of leather boots. Whether you like combat, cowgirl, lug sole, pointy toe, knee-high, calf-high, ankle… a pair of leather boots will take you from Fall to Spring, in style.

Where to get them? This completely depends on your price range. Keep in mind, this will be one of your most worn pair of shoes this Fall, so investing a little more than you normally would for a pair of splurge-shoes will take you a long way. I have leather boots in many different styles and colors. Ranging from over-the-knee/thigh-high, pointed toe leather boots to ankle, combat, lug sole. My absolute favorite boots didn’t break the bank one bit. I got them from Target. That’s right, Target.

I’m not going to lie, Target has an excellent selection of shoes and a wide variety of sizes. Their shoes are almost always true to size and well made. I’ve gotten to the point where I feel comfortable buying shoes on Target.com. I do recommend trying your first pair in-store, if you haven’t bought shoes from Target yet. That way you can make sure the fit and sizing is right for you.

UGH! If I hear one more person say, “no white after Labor Day” I’m going to puke. Whoever started that was an impractical snob and was living in the 1940’s. We have progressed, People! White after Labor Day is perfectly okay and highly in-style. And the second pair of shoes you NEED for Fall is a pair of white sneakers. I mean, they don’t have to be bright white. They can be off-white, tan, heck, they can be any color you want. Just make sure they’re stylish and simple enough to go with everything.

I have two pair of white sneakers that I wear daily. One pair are from Steve Madden and are the chunky, fashion sneakers. The other pair of straight-up, from Walmart, in the men’s shoe department and are a super simple white leather, plain sneaker.

You’re probably wondering how do I style said sneaker? With everything! But, let me be more specific. I love how the model above styled her sneakers with tall white socks. This style is perfect for more casual looks. Shorts, skirts, casual dresses. Also, denim is the perfect match for white sneakers. Skinny, straight, flare, cropped, distressed, they always work.

So, now you know the two pairs of shoes you need to be stylish this Fall. You know where to get them and you know how to style them. Don’t break the bank and MOST importantly, they need to be light and comfortable. Shop around. Have some fun and keep your feet happy.
