Primark Haul

Ever heard of Primark? Don’t feel bad if you haven’t. I live in Portland, Maine and there isn’t a Primark within a hundred miles. It’s also not available online, so when I was in Boston with the Hubs last month, I made sure to pop in and shop. Unfortunately, it was “back to school” shopping time and the line to check out was like, out the door. I didn’t want to make him wait, so I put the arms-full of merchandise back and walked out empty handed.

A couple weeks later, I couldn’t stop thinking about all the amazing finds I had at my fingertips and decided to gas up the X5 and hit the highway. I had a very small window to shop, having to be back to Portland to pick my son up at school by 2:30 PM, so once I got through the gridlocked traffic of downtown Boston, I borderline ran into Primark and power-shopped. I didn’t even look at prices, because everything at Primark is $30 or less (usually way less) and I didn’t bother trying anything on. I walked out of the store with minutes to spare, a massive haul and only $138 less in my bank account.

My haul consisted of 2 dresses, 2 jackets, a blazer, a pair of jeans, a plaid skort, a baby clutch and a 3-pack of lacy bralettes. That’s right, for 11 on-trend items, I paid less than $140. Almost spent that much in gas… But the real question is, was this haul worth the drive? In my opinion, YES!

Not only was my Primark haul worth the drive, money and time, but I plan on doing it again before the holidays hit… if anyone wants to come with. I’d compare it to H&M. They have a full line of men’s, women’s and kids clothing and accessories at extremely affordable prices. They have pieces that you won’t see anywhere else and next time I’m definitely giving myself more time to shop.
