Congratulations Hunter!
Awwww… My Intern, Hunter Maxham is graduating High School! I’ll start by saying it’s been a privilege working with this incredible young lady. Back in September, I was contacted by a PATHS Coordinator at Greeley High School asking if I was able to take on an Intern. He described her as highly motivated, intelligent and seeking a career in Fashion. How could I say no?
The first time I met Hunter, in a massive auditorium at Greeley High, I knew she was wise beyond her years. Over the last eight months, I’ve dragged Hunter to Personal Shopping & Wardrobe Organization experiences, as well as blog photo shoots. She’s always shown huge ambition, comprehension and exceeded all expectations.
As Hunter continues to impress me, being accepted to the University of Rhode Island for their Fashion program and being featured in the Northern Forecaster, she topped the charts on Monday, hosting a Fashion Show to raise money for a non-profit called Best Buddies. Hunter not only hand-made all the looks for the show, but coordinated all the details, from perfectly curated music to elegantly displayed and worn flower arrangements. As the crowd stood for a well deserved standing ovation, a single tear fell from my eye. I was completely moved.
Between a trip to Venice, Italy, her Fashion Show, Prom, her 18th Birthday, Graduation, Hunter has handled it all with grace. This girl is going to move mountains and I feel honored to have the opportunity to work with her and know her. Honestly, she’s taught me as much as I’ve taught her.
Hunter, you are an incredible young lady. I know you’ll do amazing things in college and come back and visit me on your breaks. I’ll miss our shopping trips, coffee dates and Brady hugs. Congratulations on all your accomplishments. You are truly exceptional. Love, Chelsea
