The way I grew up, you got dressed up for holidays. My mom would take my sister and I shopping (usually at JCPenny or Sears) for new looks, each holiday. Thanksgiving was no exception. My mom always hosted, and being dressed up was a must. I loved it then, and still love getting dressed up for holidays, now.
